Michael D. Kirchmann, AIA, RIBA, LEED AP
Michael Kirchmann is the Chairman of Talbragar Development Group in New York City. He has lectured at the Architectural Association in London, New York University and at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. He has also served as a design critic at Parsons School of Design in New York and the University of Pennsylvania. He has lectured widely at international property and design conferences. Mr. Kirchmann’s public speaking and criticism are informed by his international design experience, which includes projects in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the United States. His work encompasses numerous building types and markets, including commercial office, hotel & hospitality, residential, and sports & leisure. He has created master plans for urban commercial areas, universities, and waterfront developments. Mr. Kirchmann’s globally based design work emphasizes experiential development, sustainability, and a commitment to design excellence.
Mr. Kirchmann’s work has been featured in a broad selection of design publications including A+U, Wallpaper Magazine, Architectural Review and Metropolis. He has won design awards and recognition from peers including the American Institute of Architects, the Chicago Athenaeum, and Architectural Record. He has served on international design juries and travels regularly throughout Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. He is also a board member of the children's charity Free Arts NYC. |
